Store Opening: Crooks and Castle

Crooks and Castle Clothing Line started out in rough street wear market not too long ago. And after many successful seasons and straight fly lines, they will be opening their own store in the blocks of Melrose. To be honest, I am not sure if I want Crooks to have a store because I might see all these punk asses that didn't know the niche and are repping the gear now. Anyways, I guess people have to make their cheese. Here is a pix of some goodies that will be out on opening day tomorrow December 15th at NOON!!

Art Event: Ad Hoc Art NYC 12/13 - 1/15

Michael De Feo is curating a show at the Ad Hoc Art Gallery in NYC, that will be featuring works from 40 renown graffiti and street artists. The difference between this show and other ones is that it will be displaying works that are unusual from the artist's known style. So if you are visiting the EN Y CE this break..hit up the gallery in Brooklyn.

Nom de Guerre Spring/Summer 08 collection Preview

Nom de Guerre is an up and coming New York based fashion label that has been getting a lot of attention lately. "Founded by Holly Harnsongkram, Wil Whitney, Devon Turnbull, and Isa Saalabi. The concept of the collective is to combine basic and diverse influences from art, fashion, and various New York City subcultures to create a composite culture and product."

What I am impressed the most about their collections are the clean design accented with simple colors. For those of you that are trying to move away from street wear and looking for something more grown up, Nom de Guerre might worth a look.

Sneakers: Ubiq Preseren

Ubiq displayed this new design at a recent trade show. The "Preseren" is a hybrid between sneakers and boots, something Nike and Adidas has done before. The exterior is made of suede, with velvet on some segments. The inner lining of the boot can be roll out too. Available at Japanese & US retailers with a UBIQ account.
I would check Barneys CO-OP.
