website review: Fruition LV

http://www.fruitionlv.com

After 7 weeks, FruitionLV finally updated their website. And this time, its an entirely new site. Easy to scope out and fresh. You can check out fruition x Jeremy Scott's collection on the site. If you don't know, FruitionLV is a store located in Las Vegas that is trying to not only dig up and retail old school hip hop brands and styles, but also provide a place for designers to gain ideas from. The clothing Fruition offers brings back memories for me personally. I haven't been to peep the store out, but next time I'm in LV, i'll try to visit the place.

Stussy F/W

Stussy Fall/Winter line is out! Go to www.stussydirect.com to check it out. I'm still deciding whether I should order online or hit up the store.

TWEEQiM 365Moons Show @ Munky King

SEAMLESS! pair of Nike Dunk Lows. too bad its a one-off. A production version will be on retail at the beginning of next year in a similar concept. You can see this pair at Munky King Melrose. I hope the production shoes will come in a nice gold laser-tagged box like this one shown. Munky King will show many other fine works by the artist. The event will be on August 23rd, 2007.

MAGIC

Along with the Magic showcase in Vegas next week, two smaller shows will also be held. From the pictures I see every year, the show looks really exciting because you get to see the new season of not only street fashion, but other genres of fashion as well. My friend makes it to the show annually and tells me that its so big, it would take days to look through everything. Too bad I start school next week, otherwise, I'd be there too. Back to the two mini-shoes. FoshoFoshow will be held at the GRAND "ALEXIS PARK HOTEL". The second Mini-show is the Retreat. This show will be located at the Venetian's Tao Beach. enjoy.

Hawaii braces itself for Hurricane Flossie, a category three hurricane that is "dangerous with a clear and well-defined eye." Hopefully it passes with minimal damage.

Book: Currently reading Popism: The Warhol Sixties

via: amazon
I just started my late summer reading. haha. Finally found something I want to read about, the entertaining life of Andy Warhol. This will probably lead me to watching the film Factory Girl. Anyways, since I just started reading the book, a review will be given later. Are you doing your summer reading?

DVD Review: Weeds on Showtime

I am addicted to this show. and ill tell you why. I have watched 22 episodes (from 2 seasons) in 2 days. each episode is about 27 minutes of good times. the plot is basically a widow trying to make it without her husband financially in an upscale suburbia town by selling weed to various ppl. the show is hilarious, and i hope everyone gets up on this. its on Showtime. if you don't have that channel, i would suggest renting the dvd, or buying the darn thing. enjoy the show and let me know how you feel about it.

LA friday event

This is another event thrown by dubfrequency, greyone, and frank 151. I have only managed to get into one of these parties thrown by the same group of people, and I found the crowd to be sociable. So, if any of you are up for some partying on friday night, head to the Shag.

Evisu rediscovering its roots!

After a few years of producing low quality and underwhelming fashion denim, Evisu surprises us with these Wrangler inspired broken twill japanese selvedge jeans. Finally a genuinely nice and high quality pair of Evisus without the godawful daicock design. For more pictures, go to Evisu Blog.

New Evisu x Puma denim! Something to look out for...

As Evisu become more mainstream, its appeal also decreases. But these Evisu x Puma really caught my eyes. Bright Evisu gull on the ass pockey doesnt impress me anymore, but these are really subtle and fresh. Might have to cop...
